New set of buttons
« on: January 26, 2005, 08:18:22 »
Hi, I Installed Album.pl for the first time yesterday to work alongside my Yabb forum. I suprised myself how well the install went. All seems to be working fine.

One thing my members commented on was that the default buttons were very small and they couldn't read them. I had a look at the others on this site and non of them really fitted with my colour scheme (although they were very nice!!). So, I set to and created a new set just for my members. These are very clear and bold. Normal function buttons are in blue and admin buttons are in red. Both have bold Ariel text. All use the default named png's.

Maybe the boss might like to upload them to his site bold blue and red.zip

You may need to alter the css file a touch (I've included my amended one in the zip) as IE doesn't want to show the full buttons (fine in Firefox). I've slightly adjusted the text size from the blue css downloaded from this site. You might just need a little tweaking to get them to look right. They are not fancy, just a bit clearer.

Now if someone could help me with ImageMagick so I can make thumbnails and get that cool shadow behind the images. I'm well out of my depth and don't have a clue what I'm looking at ??? tar...? arrrh! ;D

Here's an image of the buttons in use Album image with buttons

Thanks for the contribution! Looks like links are down at the moment, but I'll definitely check them out again later.

Once they're available, I'll upload them to the user contribution library.

As for the IM problem, once IM is installed, you should be able to just set the imagemagick and shadow_borders config items and have them "just work." :)

Cheers
Mike

Yes, my whole sites just gone down. Hope it's nothing to do with the album lol  ;D

Always happens at the worst moment. It usually resets itself, but it doesn't look like it's going to tonight >:(

I hear you... I used to have a lot of problems with stability... Knock on wood, I haven't had many issues like this lately...

Without being rude, where do I stick it?

Or do I have to own the server it's on to use it? I've got a hosted site (Apache) server and I have my on 'web' folder. I'm very confused with what it is and how to install it ???

If I can just get those groovy shadows working would be somethin' else! (ooops, showing me age up again!).

Usually the ISP has to install it, but instructions on how to do it yourself were recently posted here:
