I'm home...did I miss any calls or messages...?
« on: June 10, 2005, 08:57:39 »
In July 2004 my host,  advised me to get rid of all flat-file based cgi/perl programs and switch to less resource intensive php/mysql.
I became a traitor and abandoned album.pl for the much lauded coppermine.
While Coppermine is, indeed, a fine product, they have one major drawback: a development team who has only contempt for the users of their product.

Anyway, why am I rambling? Because of the negativity I have informed my host that I am switching back to my flat-file perl image gallery program which has supported me (and I have reciprocated) for many years. They will be monitoring my resource usage carefully and will notify me of any situations.

Thus, witness the return of King Lizzard's photo gallery at http://www.kinglizzard.com/cgi-bin/album.pl
Hi, Mike, been reading through the boards, here, and see you still provide excellent support. I'll be sending you some messages on some ideas and questions at a later time.

Glad to see you back again! :)

Your album looks nothing like the default... so I love it!

I'm hoping we can continue to get some good ideas and feedback from you, since you've already provided quite a lot to the project.

Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike, it's great to be back.
Thanks for the props on the site, it was really just a skin thing, working the CSS.
