Upgrading album.pl

Troubles? Have your album professionally installed for just $20 USD. Work is guaranteed.

  • Back up any files that you have changed, such as templates, Photo_Album.css or the strings files. If you skip this step, any customizations to these files will be lost. If you have not customized these files, you don't need to worry.
  • Unzip the albumxx.zip file you downloaded into the root of your web space. (I.E. in your "www" or "public_html" directory.) This will automatically place all the files in their default location, overwriting the originals. (Your configuration will not be overwritten.)
  • From the Configuration Management screen, click on "album.pl Configuration Upgrade" link and follow the upgrade process. This will merge any new config items or changes into your existing album.cfg file, without overwriting your settings.
  • Visit your album through the web, and see if any errors or warnings are displayed. If not, you're done!
