This is XPerT/TheX and I followed you here from UBBDev. I have to say that you've done a great job with the Album. I have a UBB but I'm in the process of convering my sites to a variant of Postnuke and I was wondering if there was chance that you, or someone like you would be able to port this over to php and MySQL? I think it would be HUGE in the nuked world where most album/gallery modules are seriously bloated.

If there is anything I can do to help a project like this along I would be more than glad to help in any way possible. I would love to promote your apps and site at Netwerkin as well.

Fantastic, I'm always in the market for help. :)

I'd love to make the album work with MySQL, but I just have no experience there. Given a code snippit of how to access a MySQL database in PERL, and what tables/fields Postnuke uses to store usernames and passwords, I should be able to do it.

Even part of this info might be enough. :)

Thanks!

Well, most portal and CMS systems are written in php and MySQL. I love Perl but I have to move toward something that will get me into the next gen of website systems. I do a lot of sites and the nukes are so easy to implement and feature rich too. Here is a link to a developer site that has information about modules in postnuke. There is a ton of support at the nuke sites. Here are a couple more links;

www.postnuke.com
www.envolution.com
www.portalzine.de

I'll pass along more info as I dig it up.
