Thumbnail problems with Imagemagik
« on: September 23, 2002, 12:36:27 »
Mike,

I'm still having "thumbnail" generation issues with the app. I have to turn off multi-file upload (or at least a great alternative of multi-file) because of my issue.

Here's what happens: if a member uploads a pic, then uploads another pic, without viewing the "thumbnail" in between, Imagemagik will create a duplicate thumbnail for the two pics uploaded. Of course, the main pic of one will be different.

As a work around, I've been asking my user community to click "View recent uploads" to make Imagemagik create the thumbnail after each upload.

Is this issue fixed with 5.7?

I thought of a perfect solution if it hasn't: instead of defaulting to the upload page after the upload, why not default to the "Recent Uploads" page? That way, the correct thumb will be generated for each upload.

Let me know what you think.

Again, your app rocks!

And, great interview on UBBDev!

It's not fixed in 5.7, but it is fixed in 6.0 Beta 1. Give it a shot! :)
