Good idea! I've added creation date to the script. Just re-download and replace album.pl. Note the new sort orders (4 and 5) in the new album.cfg.

Would love it if you could confirm that it works as expected...

Thanks for the detail, it was great. (Not "abusive" at all!) It's a good idea, and I've got a similar "mojo" script here, but dropped the idea of e-mail updates (for the album) quite a while ago... Not sure why, I guess I never had time to send the e-mail!

What you want to do is find the sortObjects subroutine, and just replace the whole thing with the new copy. There actually aren't that many changes to it, but a wholesale replacement is probably easiest.

Excellent! Just tried and it worked, sorted by creation date.

In regards to mailing list - indeed, this feature may not be very popular and demanded. It was for me - my friends wanted to know when I post new baby's pics. Well, I found a solution and can't speak for everybody.
