Topic: 3 Questions ?

hello again,
my first question is,.
when i go to the opening page of album pl, the page title just says " Root" or " photo album"
how an i  change these ? i cant find anywhere to change,.. ?
also, i seem permanently logged in,. if i give a link to  album pl to someone else will they be   logged in as  me  ? im  using a "auth_db.text " file  as im  using a   cutecast board,..... not UBB etc,

also on my Board ive got a nice nav bar,.
can i drop  the same  code from my board into   album.pl so the Nav bar will appear in the album header ?

im new,....... better to be gentle

Ok, ive sorted and sussed how to do everything i ask above except im  just worried that anyone visiting the album will  automatically be logged in as me,
i cant see anyway of logging out to test this  ... ?

Hi Jonny (from Burning Chrome?),

album.pl sets a cookie for you, so you don't have to log in every time. It sets it only on the system you're using, and you can freely give out URLs without letting people log in as you.

There isn't currently a logout, though it's on the books.

if im  using  an auth_db.text for people to upload etc,
do there names\\pass words have to be in the auth_db.text for them to view ?   ynow like guests .?

**** just come across a  nasty thing Mike ,
by replacing the  album.pl at the end of the url with
auth_db.txt  up pops everyones passwords

You should keep your auth_db.txt file above your web root, so nobody can get at it that way. album.pl doesn't need web access to it, so it can reside anywhere on your system. I keep mine in the directory just above the web site, for safe keeping...

P.S. Johnny Mnemonic was a William Gibson short story (from Burning Chrome, I think) that eventually turned into a cheesy movie...
